What We Do

We curate exhibitions and cultivate events for Art Folx to meet and develop networking relationships within safer spaces. The group page is a place for members to share their events, new works, open calls, and to ask for advice. We also highlight work by members in digital catalogues and on social media outlets.

Our Goals

Art Folx Nation’s dream is to have a board of directors, curate quarterly publications highlighting members, and to have a permanent location to host events and residency program.

Past Events

New Moon Meet-Up: A monthly meet-up that has a different theme for every gathering; potluck, clothing swap, life drawing night, collage, etc. After the activity, we gather in a circle to set and share our intentions for the next month.

Artist Talks & Exhibitions at New Women Space each event exhibits work from five artists which culminate with an artist talk and reception. Included artists are; Amy Khoshbin, Kelsey Shwetz, Eri King, Frank Locke, Sophia Harvey,  Famousonmars, Anna Hart Turner, Nailah Fuller, Paulapart, and Jule Korneffel.

Exhibition & Interactive Performance at Forward Union featuring Chi Nguyen, Emmaline Payette, Frank Locke, Hanna Washburn, KC Tidemand, Kelsey Shwetz, Olivia Jane, Sofia Hagar, T.L. Daniels, Whitely Watson, and Witchoria.

Holiday Market & Musical Showcase at Lantern Hall organized by Gina Maher. Vendors include Public Works Department, Kellie The Clay Lady Designs, Errant Hart, dina.inks, Asc Alchemical, COEUR, Snow Yellow, Hedron Studios, Ostara Apothecary, Alison Tyne, Serpent Moon, Chaos Interface Crystals, The Bettys, Eye of Astro, Chowaniec Projects, Valage, LC Hetzel, babybockchu, Paulapart, TreatStreet, Ailime, Katrina Majkut, Dr Creeps Stitchery, Susie Magazine, and Rosanna Jewels. Musicians include Lilly Vanek, Mandy & The Mandys, Nova Luz, Magdalena, Sad Mountain and Paulapart.

Musical Showcase & Exhibition at Catland Books co-organized by Charlotte Kahn and Olivia Jane featuring performances by River Tatry, Mima Good, Fraidycat, Mandy & The Mandys, and Kid Audra. Visual Artists are Anna Hart Turner, Michelle Silver, Dina Levy, Zoe Brice, Alisha Wexler, Carolina Arévalo, Eri King, Kat Polanco, and Heather Marie Scholl.

Musical Showcase & Exhibition at The Bronze. Music co-organized by Claire and Katie bands includes Mean Siders, Circles and Waves, and Edith Pop. Artists Include Brooke Herr, Riley Gallagher, Michelle Mirisola, Anna Hart Turner, T.L. Daniels, Linzi Silverman, and Katrina Majkut.
